I would like to see BC address Pet Overpopulation by adopting the following; The government of New Brunswick introduced regulations surrounding the licensing of Pet Establishments in the province. The goal of Pet Establishment Licensing according to Paul Melanson, Chief Animal Protection Officer for the NBSPCA, “is to ensure that there are standards for the care of animals and standards for those who are required to be inspected, whether it is a pet store, a breeder, a kennel or shelter.” http://www.spca-nb.ca/en/component/content/article/3-news-a-events/57-nbspca-sees-gains-in-pet-establishment-licensing Regulation Outline http://www.gnb.ca/0062/PDF-regs/2010-74.pdf
