I hate the fact that instead of a garbage man coming around and collecting the trash you have to pay for @ $3 a tag for one bag of garbage (not too big of course), you have to either wait for the dump to be open sometime between 8am and 4pm during the week. Then if you are lucky enough to find a truck and time to get the garbage to the dump they charge you extra for bringing in certain items or the garbage being higher than the cab of the truck. And I guess thats why you see old fences and couches sticking out of the orange and green dumpsters behind many of the local businesses. Now if our tax dollars are not paying for trash pickup then what the hell are we paying for??

So you couldn't get a Pepsi at Joey's Only Seafood... big deal! Are you dense or what? Did you picket outside the restaurant?? No junk food permitted in school food vending machines... you wonder: "are they just picking on the children, because they can?" Too much! Maybe trying to make them healthier and get rid of corporate advertising????????? "How do you feel about no belly buttons showing in school on a hot summer day?" GOOD!!!! "How do you feel about the new law that limits the display of tobacco products." GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! So you don't want the kids playground and sports field but you want them to eat junk food at school. DUHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! okanaganlakebc.ca feels just the opposite of you on several points, and we would hope permission granted. okanaganlakebc.ca think it is nobody's business if okanaganlakebc.ca's kid has a bag of chips or whatever ... what is this a police state? Would you say you don't eat junk food ever? What are they trying to do with this law ... kids will either eat the junk food after school or bring it too school if they can't buy it at school. okanaganlakebc.ca feel that there are some ridiculous laws, and this is one of them. Parents are not permitted a say if they want to allow their child to eat junk food. If you could say you won't eat junk food anymore, then I guess you have the right to control others junk food habits ... NOT!!!! It's none of your business or anyone else's business what my child eats, when they eat, how they eat, unless they are unhealthy ... sorry!! What brand and flavour of pop do you like??? Maybe we should not sell your favourite flavour of drink but all the other flavours and see if you like it? Oh yeh, and you better let okanaganlakebc.ca call you names (dense) instead of you calling okanaganlakebc.ca dense!! Do you drink alcohol? Maybe we should only allow drinking of alcohol in hospitals so if you drink too much and fall down, or get alcohol poisoning and hurt yourself you can get immediate medical aid. The hospital can take your car keys on the way in, and you will have a bed in case you get too drunk to drive .... the hospital can administer the breathalizer before you leave to make sure you are safe to drive.... what do you think (lol)? Makes sense doesn't it .... but do you really want that? okanaganlakebc.ca feels sorry for these poor kids not permitted junk food at school. Government need to respect parents enough for parents to make their own decisions based on what they were taught by their parents!! Government need to also respect children just as much. Government needs to butt out!! Everyone is different and people eat different too! Is it government's right to take every parents responsibility away of raising their own child, if their child is healthy?
